Why I Don’t Go to Franchise Clients (And Why I’m Glad I Did Last Week)

I was in Pensacola, Florida last week to meet with a potential client, Cactus Flower Café. They have several locations and want to franchise. Now, I almost never meet face to face with clients, not because don’t want to- I do. It’s just that we franchise businesses all over the US, and since Franchise ASAP is all about affordable franchising, we don’t charge enough to justify the expense of visiting them all.

I have been looking for a good Mexican concept but had not found one I liked. Why I went all the way to Pensacola to check out Cactus Flower in person is a puzzle. Something, let’s call it intuition, told me to go. Boy, am I glad I did. I met two incredibly dedicated people, Lee and Joni. They’re the kind that can’t help but make great food. The best way I can describe it is this: When you eat at a typical Mexican restaurant, you are full but not satisfied. When you dine with Lee and Joni, you are satisfied, period.

They make great food, so check them out online at CactusFlowerCafe. Be sure to visit one of their several locations in the Florida panhandle area next time you’re in the neighborhood; you’ll be glad you did. Tell them I sent you!
